Endless Autumn

It’s going to be a pretty exciting time for surf music fans in and around Brighton, with three Endless Summer shows scheduled across the Autumn and into December.

First up it’s Pirato Ketchup, from “Walifornia” (that’s Belgium to mere mortals), who will be bringing their “explosive mixture of 60's surf music, garage, yéyé, twist and rockabilly” to The Horse and Groom on Isligword Road on Friday October 3rd. Support is from local heroes The Squadron Leaders, who we hope will feature latest addition, Becky, on bass. The Dusty Groove Jukebox will be in attendance to provide musical and visual interest before and between bands and The Reverend Joe McCarthy will be keeping proceedings running smoothly. As always at The Horse and Groom, it’s free to get in, although someone will pass a hat amongst the crowd for donations, so be generous, if you’re able to be there.

Saturday November 1st is All Souls Day or, in Mexico, The Day of the Dead, and we have a super Endless Summer “Day of theSurfin’ Dead” show lined up at The Prince Albert  on Trafalgar Street. Opening proceedings will be our good friends Link Grey and the Dark Country, with their mix of surf and rockabilly, followed by the fabulous Sine Waves, from sunny Hastings. Headliners are the stunningly awesome Razorblades, from Wiesbaden in Germany, returning to Brighton for their annual visit. There will be prizes for the best Day of the Dead themed fancy dress and both the Dusty Groove Jukebox and The Reverend Joe will be in attendance again. Advance tickets are only £5.00 and are available here and from The Punker Bunker and Resident Records in Brighton. If there are any tickets left, you can buy them on the door for £7.00.

If it’s December it must be time for Endless Christmas and the show returns to The Prince Albert again for the third time this year on Saturday December 6th. We’re pretty thrilled to have international surf music ambassador Lorenzo “SurferJoe” Valdambrini to headline this year's extravaganza, with beach veterans The Surfin’ Lungs, surfin’ mariachis Los Fantasticos and the spiffin’ Squadron Leaders completing a fabulous festive frolic of a bill. See you there.
